TSCA Title VIFormaldehyde is a chemical that irritates the nose, throat, and skin and may trigger asthma. At high levels it is a known carcinogen. We work hard with vendors in our supply chain to ensure all components used in our furniture meet or exceed this stringent standard for emission of formaldehyde from composite wood materials (e.g. plywood, MDF, etc.) All Winners Only products are third party certified to be TSCA Title VI compliant.

multi-step/multi-coat finishBest wood finishes preserve and accentuate the beauty of the wood while offer protection against potential damages brought on by daily use. Wood finishing is both an art and a science. We work closely with world-leading finishing suppliers to develop unique processes that create long lasting beauty. Often, multiple manual and automated steps are needed to achieve the best results. Round of sanding, sealing, washing, glazing, staining, polishing, top coating, buffing are just some of the steps our furniture go through before they come off the production line.
factory assembleTo achieve the desired rigidity and durability, certain components of the furniture should never be made KD (knock down). This is why the structural frames/components in our furniture are glued and clamped at the factory in the time-honoured tradition. While this adds considerable costs in labour and transportation, the resulting products will be much stronger and long lasting.

dovetailDovetail joints have stood the test of time and are a sign of a true craftsmanship. Finger-like tails and pins interlock with each other, forming a tight, strong, and long lasting fit that prevents the pieces from being pulled apart. They are the strongest joints due to their large gluing area and interlocking nature. You will find this type of joinery in the drawers of many of Winners Only products.

bearingBall bearing glides are constructed of steel and small bearings to ensure smooth movement and long lasting durability. When equipped on drawer, full-extension type allows it to open the full length of the slide, providing greater access to storage in the back of the drawer. 3/4 extension type prevents the drawers from opening fully, providing better stability (e.g. on chest of drawer) and preventing tipping hazard. When equipped on dining table with leaf, ball bearing glides provide the smoothest operation, making leaf extension and retraction much easier.

solidSolid wood in our furniture is made of pieces of genuine hardwood (oak, cherry, rubberwood, etc.) and NO man-made substrates, such as particle board, MDF, or plywood. The lumbers are joined together with non-toxic adhesive and other joinery techniques to form bonds that are stronger than wood itself. Solid hardwood used in our furniture is kilned dried for our harsh Canadian climate to minimize warping and cracking. With solid hardwood construction, our furniture will have the utmost durability and longevity.

D1-H136R-D (Elite Series) Items in the Elite series are our testament to quality and craftsmanship. Made in our own state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, these pieces showcase our commitment to uncompromising standards and attention to details. We start with the finest grade of North American hardwood (cherry/oak), kiln-dried to suit Canadian market. Where veneer panel is used, each veneer strip is selected for its width to match that of each panel. We employ computer-controlled machines throughout the factory for precision and accuracy. Drawers are constructed of half-exposed English dovetail and mounted on full-extension ball bearing glides. Each component is carefully sanded several times and finished either by hand or in our automated UV-activated coating system. For your health, we make sure our furniture meets or exceeds TSCA Title VI, the most stringent standard for formaldehyde emission. Why? All because quality furniture is always in style!
